All Classes Drop-In friendly until spring break, after spring break a portion of performance classes will be dedicated to rehearsal, drop-ins accepted as long as practical.

Intro to Ballet with Miyouki Jego
You always wanted to! Strength, flexibility, and grace will lead this ballet technique class as we learn the basic positions and structure of ballet technique. You will be guided through our ballet barre, creative centre practice, strength-building jumps, and classical choreography. Ballet is a beautiful moving art form that can take years to perfect. This short commitment intro to ballet technique offers you a taste — how to be in a ballet class, basic positions, a feel for the style.
This class will be offered as a sessional only and is not part of full-year registration. Dancers from this intro class may choose to join other beginner classes after this sessional.
Beginner Ballet 1 with Miyouki Jego

This short commitment intro to ballet technique offers you a taste — how to be in a ballet class, basic positions, a feel for the style.
NEW* OPEN BEGINNER
No experience required. Accessible for novice dancers or dancers new to the ballet genre. This class is non-performance and will remain Drop-in Friendly all year long.
OPEN BEGINNER 2
Minimum 1 year dance experience. Accessible for dancers with minimal dance experience or to the ballet genre. This class is non-performance and will remain Drop-in Friendly all year long.
INTERMEDIATE OPEN
Minimum 2-3 years of ballet experience, or for more experienced dancers new to ballet. More complex patterning and centre work for those who want to expand their ballet choreography. Dancers are recommended to participate in 2-3 classes per week. This class is non-performance and will remain Drop-in Friendly all year long.
INTERMEDIATE 1 performance
Minimum 2-3 years of ballet experience, or for more experienced dancers new to ballet. More complex patterning and centre work for those who want to expand their ballet choreography. Dancers are recommended to participate in 2-3 classes per week. This class is a progressive course from September to June ending with a Performance. After spring break a portion of class will be dedicated to rehearsal. Drop-ins will be accepted as long as practical.
INTERMEDIATE 1/2 performance
Minimum 4 years of dance experience; Dancers should be at a strong level of ballet and able to navigate a complex class. A good level for dancers coming back home to ballet after a break. Dancers are recommended to participate in 2-4 dance classes per week. This class is a progressive course from September to June ending with a Performance. After spring break a portion of class will be dedicated to rehearsal. Drop-ins will be accepted as long as practical.
INTERMEDIATE 2 performance
Minimum 4 years of dance experience; Dancers should be at a strong level of ballet and able to navigate a complex class. A good level for dancers coming back home to ballet after a break. Dancers are recommended to participate in 2-4 dance classes per week. This class is a progressive course from September to June ending with a Performance. After spring break a portion of class will be dedicated to rehearsal. Drop-ins will be accepted as long as practical.
OPEN ADVANCED
Minimum 5 years of dance experience and strong ballet background required, must be able to navigate a complex class. Strengthen your technique, fly in the air and expand your vocabulary in this physically challenging and choreographically advanced class. Dancers are recommended to participate in 3-6 dance classes per week. This class is non-performance and will remain Drop-in Friendly all year long.
ADVANCED performance
Dancers should have a strong ballet background, cope with varying methods of ballet and must be able to navigate a complex class. Strengthen your technique, fly in the air and expand your vocabulary in this physically challenging and choreographically advanced class. Dancers are recommended to participate in 3-6 dance classes per week. This class is a progressive course from September to June ending with a Performance. After spring break a portion of class will be dedicated to rehearsal. Drop-ins will be accepted as long as practical.
PRE-POINTE
Level: Intermediate or above
Start your Pointe journey with this introductory class for dancers with intermediate and above ballet level. Most of class will be at the barre, developing strength, posture & technique. Dancers will begin the course in soft shoes and are expected to support their training with 2+ ballet classes per week and regular at-home practice. Dancers wishing to progress to Pointe shoes must first be evaluated for strength by Kathy or Miyouki. This class is offered as a sessional or Drop-In only and is not part of full-year registration.
POINTE
Level: Intermediate 2 or above, attending 2+ ballet classes per week.
Increase your strength and placement in this pointe class for dancers with minimum 3 years experience on pointe. Most of class will be at the barre, developing strength with options given to those who can support center practice. This is a progressive class from September to June ending with a Performance - required attendance of twice a week for performance. After spring break a portion of class will be dedicated to rehearsal. Drop-ins will be accepted as long as practical.
