Choreography Projects
At SEDA, we strive to provide performance opportunities and to showcase our Choreographer’s works and works-in-progress. This season we will be offering projects at various times to provide additional creative experiences. Dancers participate by being involved in the creation and performance of a Contemporary dance piece created by one of Seda Dance’s Teachers or Guest Choreographers. SEDA showings will be scheduled based on pieces ready for performance and some pieces may be selected for the SEDA performance in June. Choreography projects are rehearsal based with no classwork or warm up. Dancers must apply for each project and are subject to approval by choreographer. Regular attendance is a must.

Beginner Ballet Choreography Project
with Miyouki Jego
Rehearsal Dates: March 26 - June 11 (12 Rehearsals)
Time: Thursdays 7:15-8:15pm
Location: Oaklands Community Centre
Performances: June Year End Show @ Denford Hall
Cost: $275 +GST per dancer
Application Deadline February 7th
Cast applicants will be curated by Kathy and Miyouki, and dancers will be notified as to cast list by Feb 9th.
Additional lessons may be available if the choreographer chooses and will work with the dancers to make the decision. Use of Seda studio for final cleaning possible. Beginner Ballet 2 recommended / Min 8 dancers to run the project.
Advanced Contemporary Choreography Project
with Kathy Lang
Rehearsal Dates: January - March TBD
Approx. (6 Rehearsals / 9 Hours)
Potential Rehearsal subject to applicants availability ~ Options include: Mondays 1-3, Tuesdays 230-430, Thursdays 1-3, Fridays 1230-430, poss Saturdays 3-5
Performances: Spring Showing TBD & June Year End Show @ Denford Hall
Cost: $250 +GST per dancer
