Jesse Broadhead, originally from Western Canada, has traversed continents fueled by his passion for dance, and now based in Victoria, shares his expertise as a teacher specializing in Contemporary improvisation and contact dance.

Jesse pursued his love of dance through the United States, Middle East and Europe. In Northern California, he studied contemporary and improvisation at BSSM and BCA, and also delved into Latin dance. Returning briefly to Canada, Jesse worked with DanceCode Studios in Edmonton, Alberta, joined the Bella and Bello Movement as the principal understudy for the 2018 salsa performance season and then continued his Contemporary training through J’adore Dance.

In 2020, Jesse relocated to Israel for two and a half years. There, he honed his skills at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, studying various disciplines including Modern, Ballet, Choreography, and Improvisation under esteemed mentors. His time in Israel also saw him involved with the Jerusalem Lyric Opera Studio, where he contributed as a producer for productions like Così Fan Tutti and Rusalka. Transitioning to Germany in 2023, Jesse embarked on an internship at the Contemporary Dance School of Hamburg, furthering his expertise in improvisation and contact techniques under the guidance of Ralf Jaroschinski.
